WOMEN RIGHTS

Every religion in the world stresses the people to regard a woman as an equal and that both genders should regard each other with equal respect and dignity. The MUSLIM countries in the world are especially the ones who have ripped off the rights of women, the promises are not honored and men feel supremacists. In the past few decades, they signed covenants with UN, only to fall far short when it comes to implementation or amending local laws to bring them in conformity with international standards. The women in American senate are only mere 19 whereas males occupy 81 seats. So we see the world is trying to equalize the women in society and very little number of them have truly succeeded in their duty. According to the WEF Gender Gap index there is no wonder that South Asia, Africa and South America occupy this lists bottom. Women are a target of 'honor' killings in poor countries and the killers seem to escape justice, some cases reach the media headlines and it is due to the brutality or the identity of the victim. When women report a case, they are given little attention and insurmountable challenges. Additionally, given that the right to life is the most basic and fundamental human right, a high number of mothers continue to be denied this right as maternal mortality rates showed an increase in 2015 in poor countries. Rural areas has a further impact on the low status of women, making them even more vulnerable to exploitation and violence.

Solution:
Women are as important members of society as men. They need to be developed into proper playing part of the nation. So again the lawmakers must ensure that the women are not deprived off their rights. Not only this but women must stay strong and united as they had when they wanted their part in election (right to vote and then in parliament etc) or whenever they fought for themselves in the past. Education plays the most essential role in the growth of a person and so, the more the educated women in our society the more they will be respected. To end with the quote 'Behind every successful man is a WOMAN'; Very true indeed.
