ENERGY

Energy has always been playing a crucial part in human lives. Energy is everything associated to the power that runs our day to day systems, may it be electricity, inspiring appliances or oil coordinating our cars etc. Energy as defined is a basic necessity as poverty, health care, education. water supply as well as climate is dependent upon our efficiently utilisation of it. The proportion of global population with access to electricity has increased steadily from 79% in 2000 to 85% in 2012 but still 1.1 billion people do not have access to electricity which is seemingly a very high and alarming number. What adds to the woes of this number is they are 80% rural dwellers. The energy essential for living is also gas, which constitutes majorly towards cooking hence takes up a major chunk in the sector of required energy, now to give off a fact " Only 58% have access to the energy and technology to cook whereas the rest rely on harmful fuels such as firewood and bio fuels in case of poor countries" which is not only hazardous for themselves but the animals and natural forests are a victim to these activities. The world's total renewable energy consumption from total energy is a mere 18% due to which the non renewable energy's life is at stake. Oil is the biggest contributor to non renewable energy resource and as I have aforementioned, this is worrisome for the world to preserve this sector or face the inexorable consequences. The energy efficiency that is the energy exhausted to produce one economic product is about 5%, which reduced by 1.7% hence showing positive signs. Among all the sectors, industry constituted largest proportion in this decrease making up to 68% of the total savings which came majorly from East Asia.

Solution:
The formidable prospect of resources exhaustion has led many experts to find new and better ways to produce energy so that we can preserve the ones that are consumed exorbitantly so they need to be instantly implemented. Secondly what is prerequisite to change is a leap of faith in the new techniques and most importantly patience. Now when the energy is produced through renewable methods such as Wind energy, solar energy and geothermal energy etc that do not abuse the environment the time of need to address the energy for all, initiatives to ensure the poor also receive their right comes thereafter. It is unimaginable to live in the modern world unaccompanied by petrol and electricity, the chief human needed resources hence policies to provide every single soul on earth access to it is desperately required. If this does not happen than as I have discussed in the start most that these issues are interlinked and it would entail incomprehensible consequences. Lastly, sustainability has to be made certain for future generations to live in peace.
